Our host hotel will be Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan, Wisconsin. It is located just north of the Illinois border on approximately a mile of beautiful Delavan Lake shoreline. If traveling from the east, you can avoid the hassle of Chicago traffic by staying south of the city or by having the experience of taking one of two ferries across Lake Michigan. A newer high speed ferry, The Lake Express runs between Muskegon, Michigan and Milwaukee, Wisconsin in about two and a half hours. Or if you choose a more leisurely passage, there is the S. S. Badger sailing from Ludington, Michigan to Manitowoc, Wisconsin in about four hours. This is the last coal-powered passenger ship still in regular service in the US.

Once at the resort, you will see it offers a complete spa and golf course, and there are indoor and outdoor pools, several restaurants and bars, an ice cream parlor (this is the dairy state), and bakery/coffee shop right on the site. Jet skis and sail boats can be rented, and the fishing is pretty good, too. All rooms have been completely renovated and include refrigerator, microwave and either a patio or deck. Our car show venue is on the resort lawn nestled between the shores of the lake and the lodge, shaded by mature trees, and the banquet will also be conveniently held on site.

In addition to the traditional activities of a rally on hilly twisty roads, educational tech sessions, driving tours (the Harley-Davidson Museum to the east and Spring Green to the west), and a funkhana, there will be valve cover races (rules to follow) and a first timer’s car show. In addition, you can be sure there are several special Magnette activities in the works.
